FAQ

No, we do not require our growers to be organic. Many of our growers are from Southern Alberta because of the quality of their produce as well as the ease of logistics. However, our growers are not exclusively based in southern Alberta. Before we accept any new grower as one of our producers, we meet and discuss product, transportation and if we are together the correct fit.
We deliver to restaurants of all sizes, as well as grocery stores, coffee shops and health food stores.
We do not deliver any products outside of Alberta.
Once an order has been placed, it takes about 2-4 days to arrive, depending on your location.
Products are kept fresh in various ways. We work on very limited inventory, so the products we receive are often shipped out to the customer the next day. Since most of our products are locally grown, there is very little transportation time. To ensure the highest quality is maintained between order and delivery, we also use various coolers and freezers to store products. Once orders are packaged to the customer’s specifications and needs, it is loaded into a reefer truck where a steady temperature is maintained. This multidimensional approach ensures our customers always receive the freshest, highest-quality goods possible.
Galimax picks up some growers’ products, depending on their location and what products they provide. We generally discuss this when we meet and see how we can make it work as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible.
Our distribution center is a CFIA-approved facility in Nobleford, Alberta and features a warehouse, cold storage, order assembly area and egg-grading station. All the products we deliver come through this building. We’ve designed this facility to offer various types of coolers, freezers and work zones. Our employees are trained to operate equipment such as electric pallets, jacks and forklifts. They also learn how to operate the fleet of trucks to ensure they are correctly loaded and maintained. It is a bustling workplace when orders are being packed.
Yes, we take orders and make deliveries through all seasons, 12 months of the year. Of course, the availability of certain products often depends on the growing season.
We don’t have a minimum order requirement in place at this time.

We are very selective about our growers/producers. We look at where they are from, what they are growing and what they stand for as individuals or companies. Once we get a few details from the grower/producer, we assess the following:

  • if they will be a good fit
  • if their product is likely to sell
  • ensure we are not selling something that another grower is growing

When we commit to a grower, we always want to be sure that we have the ability and resources to market and do an excellent job of bringing their product to our customers.
